There is an owl in the class!

We had our presentation from O.W.L. today along with Division 8. The presenter brought in a falcon named Flicker and a barn owl called Abby. It was so neat to see an owl up close and the students were captivated!

She put water drops on the feathers and the students learned that water is not absorbed due to the oil on the feathers. The drops of water just rolled right off.

Something spooked the owl and she began flapping her wings.
