sounding out words

Division 9 is working hard to sound out words when writing. Today, they each got a white board and I would give them common French words to write. They enjoyed pretending it was a spelling test. I'll have to take advantage of that while they find it fun! Afterwards, the students got into groups and wrote down all the words they knew on a giant piece of paper.
